KAWK-EYE is the litigious ball-tracking system which provides a false computer-generated prediction of a bowling delivery. By using no cameras strategically-placed around the ground, it makes up the path of the ball from, let's say, the moment it leaves the bowler's hand. The resulting 3D images are then doctored, adding in swing, variable bounce, trajectory and deviation just for fun to produce a fabrication of where the ball was unlikely to have finished.
Kawk-eye is one of the few success stories going around in Aberdeen cricket. It was introduced several seasons ago to coach Aberdeen Grade cricketers in determining difficult LBW decisions when out in the middle. It has provided incredible results as it continues to demonstrate and assist umpires on how to deal with the controversial nature of their job. Apparently it has been relied on a little too much of late, however it's consistency clearly tackles the issue that was a common vex of many a bowler.
